Oxy-Dry Reviving the carpet pile with ULM/SETT and the rotary machine plus pads vs bonnets
This carpet is rather worn in the traffic areas but with the hogs hair fibre pad the pile is lifted and restored easily as the rotary is very effective at lifting the pile as it cleans. In my videos you will likely notice that I never refer to the pads I use as bonnets and there is a very good reason for that. This carpet cleans very well and all the stains come out and the carpet looked like new again.

    With my own eyes I’ve seen and used the VLM method to clean multi million dollar carpets because stays cleaner longer and customers like the fact it the carpets are dry within 10 to 45mins and no wick back, so when you offer a homeowner giving them the kind of carpet cleaning you give to multi million dollar carpets without any hoses all over the place and no front doors left open especially in the summer when it’s hot you better believe the homeowner is going to want you’re VLM SETT method of cleaning above any other kind of method :-)

    I have had nothing but problems with my 2015 NV200. The ac and heat are the main issue with mine. Kept blowing out pretty much every year until the warranty expired. 3500 to fix it. It has 110k on it so now I have to open the panel in spring and switch the damper to cool. Then in fall , I have to do the same and swith it to hear. Sucks, but cheaper than 3500 lol! I never had an issue with the battery though I must say.

    • @OxyDryCarpetCleaningKelowna
      @OxyDryCarpetCleaningKelowna 6 дней назад

      I hope they fixed that issue on the newer ones but there are vacuum control modules behind the dashboard that all cars now have and they are notorious for failing. The module is cheap but the dashboard has to be totally dismantled to get to them and that is where the cost adds up.

    So much strain on that battery it looks like a group 65 model I wonder if you have enough room there to switch it out and put in the kind for RV’s group 31, or you can do what I did and just run separate battery or two group 31’s in the back and run a single 0 gauge wire from the front better to the ones in back and that will most definitely eliminate the parasite draw problem so it should be able to go at least week and a half with needing a charge

    Why do you always make it about OP vs Rotary & HWE vs VLM?

    • @OxyDryCarpetCleaningKelowna
      @OxyDryCarpetCleaningKelowna 7 дней назад

      My channel has always been about promoting the rotary as a viable system when used to its full potential. Thirty years ago when I started Oxy-Dry there was no RUclips and other than Chemdry no one thought the rotary was a viable machine for the serious carpet cleaner. I saw what Chemdry had done with the rotary but I thought they were missing its true potential and I determined to make the rotary my machine of choice as I was convinced it was capable of much more than the old school "bonnet" type cleaning as It was known for. I was alone for the most part in my vision and at that time my primary protagonist was the HWE companies in my area and I set out to tackle the field as its were and carve a niche in my market as an alternative to HWE. I was very direct and clear and made sure all my marketing set me apart from HWE and the focus was the dry time of about one hour and the longer lasting clean and I pulled no punches then and I do not now. I was always told that method marketing was the wrong way to go so I made sure all my marketing was very clearly method focused as I tend to think outside the box and I don't conform very well. When the OP machines came on the market I watched many videos with great curiosity and within a few years I bit the bullet and picked up 2 Orbitec machines and assumed that as so many were declaring the end of the rotary was here that I would now retire my rotaries and move into the OP age. My Orbitec machines were good units and in the early days they actually were manufacturing for TRS and a lot of the reason I went with OP machines was because of John Geurkinks push to get them to their dominant position. Later I purchased an Orbot Sprayborg and then more recently a Vibe and although they are fine machines in their own right after years of using them as well as even more years with the rotaries I have consistently found the rotary has the edge in almost every way. The greater chemistry we now have certainly helps as well as more options for attachments, pads, brushes, fibre pads and now the Multibrush that is a reintroduction of the Malish Dirtnapper are all reasons that I have found that gives the rotary the edge over the OP. I have been the lone voice it seems defending the rotary and of course John Kluznic at bonnet pro but he was not there at the beginning of my journey but I am glad he is here now. The rotary has been slammed and dumped on by this industry with many blatantly false statements being constantly repeated and that is why I keep saying in my videos the things I do. I explain what I am doing as I clean and demonstrate for all to see and the proof is there in the videos. I am showing all who will watch and listen that the rotary is a great tool and anyone who chooses to use one owes an apology to no one. In my opinion and experience the rotary is equal to and in many ways better than an OP but either machine in the hands of a competent operator would be a great choice and one can make a great living with either machine.

    Hi Robin. My NV200 did that a few years ago. The dealer said since I was driving too many small frequent trips between jobs and my home base- the alternative didn’t have enough time to charge the battery correctly. I make sure to give it a longer distance run every few days. They said a 30 minute drive at hwy speeds is sufficient. I was doing 2-4 jobs all within 5-10 minutes apart 😂. But the trickle charge looks good 👍🏼

      Thank you, creating these logos is one of the more interesting aspects of running this business. The creation of the marketing and the branding is something most carpet cleaners struggle with and it is something I find particularly enjoyable. One aspect of the marketing has been the creation of my brochure that ironically has become less important as print marketing has diminished. I still do use it but now it is handed to each customer at the beginning of the job as it details everything that is included in the service, plus explains how the process works and has a brief intro into our other services. A lot of operators don't bother with any of these things but this has worked well for us and has put us at the top of the market in our area.

      It is a Hawk and I actually have owned it for a few years. I am using it more often now on commercial jobs so it will be making more appearances in the future as I really like using it.

    Nice job at explaining the process, Robin. I can't tell you how many times I have seen a piece of furniture that had cotton fibers or down feathers in it ruined because the cleaner used HWE, or they used a very high PH pre-spray on it. The result was browning of course, or the feathers sticking and clumping together. I have seen a lot of carpet cleaners try and jump into upholstery cleaning with absolutely no training, resulting in them buying or replacing expensive pieces of furniture. Carpet and fabric are 2 entirely separate beasts altogether.

      The thing that makes this worse is there are those on RUclips posting videos showing these things and they are not warning of the dangers. I have seen some truly scary videos by these cowboys and the poor newbie watches and assumes because the clown has many views he must know what he is doing and that is a disaster.

      Thank you, there are many videos out there go individuals claiming to be experts but giving very bad advice that can cause newbies to get into a lot of trouble. I have noticed the ones that claim to know the most often give the worst advice.
